終わりよければ・・・？！
１等前後賞合わせて３億円当たる年末ジャンボ宝くじが２５日、全国一斉に発売された。鹿児島市中町の天文館チャンスセンターには、今年最後の夢を買い求めようと大勢の人が並んだ。売り場横には、「３億円」を実感してもらおうと、一万円札をイメージした紙の束をピラミッド状に積み上げたモニュメントも登場。販売は１２月１９日までで、抽選は３１日に行われる。

All’s well that ends …?!
The annual “Nenmatsu Jumbo” year-end lottery, of which the prize is up to 300 million yen for the winning numbers and the ones before and after, went on sale nationwide on November 25. The Tenmonkan Chance Centre, a ticket booth in Kagoshima City’s Nakamachi town, was crowded with lots of people wishing to gamble on the last lotto of the year. Next to the lottery kiosk appeared a display of a pyramid-shaped pile of papers, reflecting the image of ten thousand yen notes to demonstrate the volume of 300 hundred million yen. The lottery ticket will be sold until December 19 and the draw will take place on the 31st of the same month.

‘annual’ は「年１回の、毎年恒例の」。‘year-end lottery’ は「年末宝くじ」。‘of … after’ は「（年末ジャンボの）賞金は当選番号と前後の番号で最大３億円である」。‘winning number’ は「当選番号、当たりくじ（lucky number）」。‘went on sale’ は「発売［販売］された」。

‘ticket booth’ は「切符売り場」。「宝くじ売り場」は ‘lottery ticket booth’ ‘lottery kiosk’ ‘lottery stand’ ‘lottery’ ‘betting booth’ などともいいます。‘was … year’ は「（天文館チャンスセンターは今年最後の宝くじに賭けようとする大勢の人で混み合った）」。‘(be) crowded with …’ は「〈人などが〉〈場所・人〉に群がる、押しかける」。‘gamble on …’ は「〈金など〉を〔・・・に〕賭ける、投機をする」。

‘Next … papers’ は「宝くじ売り場の隣には紙の束をピラミッド状に積み上げた展示品が登場した」。‘appear’ は「現れる、見えてくる」。‘reflecting … notes’ は「一万円札をイメージした」。‘reflect’ は「〈物が〉〈光・熱・音〉を反射［反響］する；・・・を反映する」。‘note’ は「紙幣（bill）」。‘to … yen’ は「３億円の量感を示すために」。‘demonstrate’ は「〈人が〉〈事実・方法〉を［・・・ということを］（実例・実験などで）説明する、明示する」。


“The lottery ticket will be sold until December 19 and the draw will take place on the 31st of the same month.”

‘draw’ は「抽選（会）、くじ引き」。‘take place’ は「〈事が〉起る、生ずる（happen, occur）；行われる、開催される（be held）」。


タイトルの “All’s well that ends…?!”　は「終わりよければ・・・！？」。
‘All’s well that ends well’（終わりよければすべてよし）ということわざより。まだ「吉」と出るかはわかりません。。。
