鹿児島市立科学館、入館者３００万人突破

鹿児島市立科学館は５月６日、入館者が３００万人を突破し、記念式典を同館ロビーで開いた。３００万人目となった来館者には、花束や記念品が贈られた。
式典で新納時英館長は「科学の楽しさを感じてもらうため、不思議と出合える場所を提供し続けたい」とあいさつした。
同館は今年３月に２度目の全面改装を終え、４月の来館者は前年同期比約８０％増の約１万３０００人だった。

Kagoshima City Science Museum held a ceremony at its lobby to honour its 300 millionth visitor on May 6. The memorial visitor was presented with a bundle of flowers and a memento.
The museum curator, Niiro Tohihide, said in his address at the ceremony that they would like to keep offering a place where visitors can have new and wonderful encounters, and where visitors can feel that science is fun.
After the completion of its second full makeover in March, the museum had around 13,000 visitors in April, which was an 80 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
