鹿児島県内の一般公衆浴場（銭湯）料金の上限額が１０月１日、３０円引き上げられ、大人は３９０円となった。２００６年以来６年ぶりの料金改定。
燃料の重油高騰と入浴客減少が主な理由。値上げは各浴場の判断に任される。
枕崎市の「まちの湯ひとっ風呂」など市の組合加盟３施設は、いずれも値上げした。鹿児島市の組合加盟施設約５０軒も軒並み３０円アップした。

Public baths raise fees
A ceiling on the fees for public bath facilities in Kagoshima Prefecture was raised by 30 yen to 390 yen for adults on October 1. The rate revision was made for the first time in six years since 2006.
The decision has been made mainly due to escalating heavy oil prices and a drop in the number of users, and the rate hike is left up to each bathhouse's discretion.
Makurazaki City's three facilities, which belong to the city's public bath house association and include "Machi-no-yu Hitottobi," have jacked up their fees; while about 50 local union member bathhouses in Kagoshima City have increased the price by 30 yen.
