指宿まるごと博物館構想推進実行委員会は、幕末に指宿に生まれ、薩摩藩の財政立て直しに貢献した海運商、浜崎太平次を紹介する３０分のドラマを本年度制作する。
制作する指宿ムービープロジェクトによると、太平次の幼少時代や家族、島津斉彬役などを含め、１０人前後がオーディションで選ばれた。撮影地は指宿市、南九州市頴娃の海岸などを予定し、１２月までに撮影を終える。

Ibusuki to cast spotlight on local giant
Ibusuki Marugoto Museum Project Promotion Executive Committee will produce a 30-minute drama about a shipping merchant, Mr. Hamasaki Taheiji, who was born in Ibusuki at the end of the Edo period and who has made a contribution in the financial reconstruction of the Satsuma Clan.
According to the movie producer, Ibusuki Movie Project, they have selected around 10 people, by audition, for the roles including an actor portraying Taheiji’s boyhood years, and others who will portray his family members and the then Satsuma lord Shimadzu Nariakira. They are planning to film the movie in Ibusuki City and at a seashore in Ei, Minamikyushu City, among other places, and finish shooting by December.
