鹿児島－台湾便が再開
台湾の航空会社・中華航空が、鹿児島と台北を結ぶ定期チャーター便の運航を２３日から再開する。鹿児島市の岩崎グループと南国交通を中心に鹿児島側が往復便ともチャーターし、１２月まで計４０便を週２往復のペースで運航する。中華航空側は来年の定期便化に意欲を示しており、岩崎グループや県交通政策課は「定期便化に向けた実績作りとして成功させたい」としている。

Kagoshima-Taiwan flights to reopen
Taiwan-based China Airlines will resume its operation of regular charter flights between Taipei and Kagoshima from the 23rd of this month. A total of 40 flights are scheduled to be in service until December at a pace of two services a week, with both directions chartered by the Kagoshima side led by the Iwasaki Group and Nangokukōtsu, Co., Ltd, both based in Kagoshima City. The prefecture’s traffic policy division and Iwasaki are hoping to get the business off the ground in order to encourage their Taiwanese counterpart who is showing a willingness to operate regular flights from next year.

‘Taiwan-based … Kagoshima’ は「台湾の中華航空が定期チャーター便を再開する」。‘-based’ は「・・・を基にした、・・・に基礎を置いた；・・・を本拠にした」。‘resume’ は「・・・を再開する（begin again）」。‘charter’ は「（飛行機・船・バスなどの一部、または全部の）チャーター、借切り；憲章、宣言；綱領［the C~］」。

‘A … December’ は「１２月まで計４０便の運行が計画されている」。‘a total of …’ は「計・・・の」。‘flight’ は「定期飛行便（の飛行機）」。‘in service’ は「〈機械・車などが〉使われて（いる）、利用されて（いる）；利用できる」。‘at … week’ は「週２便のペースで」。‘with …. side’ は「往復便とも鹿児島川がチャーターして」。‘direction’ は「方向；方面」。

タイトルの “Kagoshima-Taiwan flights to reopen”　は「鹿児島－台湾便が再開」。朗読音声ではタイトルを間違って「香港」と言ってしまってます。案外気がつかなかったかもしれませんが。

これとは直接関係ないですが、今週末の１８日（土）・１９日（日）は、鹿児島市が主催する第３回アジアん・鹿児島（かごしまアジア青少年芸術祭）が宝山ホールと中央公園（雨天時は中央公民館）でそれぞれ開催されます。当校の学生とスタッフもボランティアとして第１回から企画や通訳で参加しています。今年はNHK大河ドラマ「篤姫」の音楽を担当している吉俣良氏も特別出演します。是非お立ち寄りください。
