初の商業受注となった韓国の衛星などを載せたＨ２Ａロケット２１号機は、５月１８日午前１時３９分、種子島宇宙センター（南種子町）から打ち上げられた。
三菱重工業は同日午前５時すぎ、韓国の多目的実用衛星「アリラン３号」と、宇宙航空研究開発機構の水循環変動観測衛星「しずく」を予定の軌道に投入した、と発表した。
これでＨ２Ａ打ち上げは１５機連続の成功。

H2A enters into rocket launch business
In its first commercial operation, the H2A rocket No.21 that carried South Korean satellite lifted off from the Tanegashima Space Centre in Minamitane-cho at 1:39 am on May 18.
At around 5 am on the same day, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries announced that it had successfully put into orbit the South Korean multipurpose satellite "Arirang No.3" and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency's "Shizuki" satellite, which will be used to monitor the circulation of global ocean currents.
It was the 15th consecutive success for the domestically-developed rocket.
