鹿児島市議選 投票率は過去最低

任期満了に伴い、４月１５日投票が行われた鹿児島市議会議員選挙（定数５０）は、同日午後９時半から即日開票された。
政権交代後初の市議選だった民主党は、政権与党に対する逆風が響いた形で、改選前から２議席減らし３議席になった。
投票率は４７．８３％で、前回（２００８年）の４９．９７％から２．１４ポイント低下し、過去最低を更新した。
当日有権者数は４７万９３３１人（男２１万７２２７人、女２６万２１０４人）。投票者総数は２２万９２６０人（男１０万２７８３人、女１２万６４７７人）。

Kagoshima City assembly vote rate hits record low
Kagoshima City council election for the next term, in which 50 seats were contested, was held on April 15, and the vote was counted from 9:30pm on the same day.
The Democratic Party of Japan, which had its first municipal election since the regime change, lost two seats but captured three due to the backlash against the ruling party.
Voter turnout was 47.83%, a decline of 2.14 points from 49.97% in the previous election in 2008, to mark the lowest rate ever.
The number of eligible voters on the day was 479,331 (217,227 men and 262,104 women) of which 229,260 (102,783 men and 126,477 women) took part in the ballot.------------------------------------------------------------------
