Orange train to owe for another help
　With regard to the joint public-private venture, Hisatsu Orange Train, whose management stabilisation fund will run out in two years, Kagoshima Governor Ito Yuichiro expressed his intention at a regular press conference held on February 3 that he would call for support and cooperation from municipalities that are not located along the train route, including Kagoshima City, and thereby seek a new support system.
　However, since the former two cities and four towns (before the town merger), including Kagoshima City which contributed 375 million yen for the establishment of the fund, had agreed that their assistance to the money-losing line would be a one-off, attention is focused on how the municipalities currently involved--Kagoshima, Hioki and Ichikikushikino Cities-- would deal with the prefecture’s request for the renewal of financial relief.
