「日本語で声かけて」 留学生がＰＲ用Ｔシャツ

鹿児島県国際交流協会の日本語クラスメンバーらが、日本語での会話をＰＲするＴシャツを作製した。
同クラスではインドネシアやロシアなどからの留学生ら６１人が学んでいる。多くの受講者が「日本人に日本語で話しかけても、英語で返された」経験を持つことからＴシャツ作りを思い立った。
着ることができるのは、講師が日本語力を認めた受講者だけ。オレンジ色の目立つ生地の表には、地球上で手をつないだ子どもの絵と「日本語で話しましょう」とプリントしている。

Students of Japanese classes offered by Kagoshima Prefecture International Exchange Society have made a T-shirt that requests people have conversation with them in Japanese.
The classes have 61 foreign students from Indonesia, Russia, and other countries. Many of them have had the same experience—we “spoke to Japanese in Japanese, but were answered in English”— which prompted them to create the T-shirt.
Only those whose Japanese skills have been recognised by the instructor can wear the shirt. On the eye-catchy orange-coloured fabric, the printed letters read “Let’s talk in Japanese” along with a picture of children holding their hands around the globe.
