Snow-white baby tigers early Xmas gift for Kagoshima
Kagoshima City announced on November 30 that baby white tigers had been born on the 18th in Hirakawa Zoological Park. It was the first time for the municipal zoo to have newborn baby tigers, with the successful breeding of white tigers also being the first achievement in the whole Kyushu area.
Among the four cubs that were born, one female babe was confirmed dead as of the 22nd and another male on the following day. Since teeth marks were found on their bodies, the authorities believed that the mother tiger bit them by mistake. The remaining two babies were then isolated to be raised by the zookeepers from the 23rd.
