南大隅高生が特産品ラベル作成

南大隅町の南大隅高校の生徒が、町食材加工センターの新製品ラベルをデザインした。町の特産品を生かした「ごぼうちゃんクッキー」と「タンカンのパウンドケーキ」の２種で、６月１９日に大阪市の京セラドーム大阪で開かれる「かごしまファンデー」に出品される。
地元の食材利用を強調し、ゴボウやタンカンをキャラクターに変身させた楽しい図柄。情報処理科３年の姥（うば）あかねさん（１８）は「明るい色でまとめた。多くの人に活気ある南大隅町を知ってほしい」と話した。

Minamiosumi promotes with sweet temptation
Students at Minamiosumi High School in Minamiosumi-cho have designed labels for new products developed by the town’s Food Processing Centre. The two products, “Gobo-chan Cookie” and “Tankan-no-Pound Cake”, which are made using the local specialities, will be exhibited at “Kagoshima Fan Day” to be held at Kyocera Dome Osaka in Osaka City on June 19.
Emphasising the promotion of the consumption of the local food, they had made Gobo burdock roots and Tankan oranges into happy and cheerful characters. Ms. Uba Akane (18), a third-year student in the Information Processing Course, said: “We designed (the characters) with bright colours. I hope this vibrant Minamiosumi-cho will be known to many people”.
