鹿児島市鴨池公園プールが完成

鹿児島市が建て替えを進めていた鴨池公園水泳プール（鴨池２丁目）が完成し、４月２日オープンする。国際大会に対応できる競泳プールと屋外飛び込みプールを備え、太陽光発電設備などを取り入れた。１９８８年ソウル五輪男子１００メートル背泳ぎの金メダリストの鈴木大地さんが名誉館長に就任する。
４月２日午前９時半から竣工（しゅんこう）記念式典を開催。鈴木さんの名誉館長就任式や鹿児島実業高校の福留景子選手らによる泳ぎ初めなどがある。午後は無料で一般開放する。
料金は一般３００円、高校生２００円、小中学生１００円。

Kamoike Pool completed
Remodelling of the Kamoike Park Swimming Pool in Kamoike, 2 chome, by Kagoshima City has been completed and it will open to the public on April 2. The facility has been equipped with a swimming pool and an outdoor diving pool, which are compatible with international competitions, and a photovoltaic installation has also been installed. Mr. Suzuki Daichi, the gold medallist in the men’s 100 metre backstroke at the 1988 Seoul Olympics will be inducted as the facility’s honorary director.
A completion ceremony will be held from 9:30 a.m. on April 2 that will feature the inaugural ceremony of the honorary director Suzuki as well as the virgin pool’s memorial swim by swimmers including Ms. Fukudome Keiko from Kagoshima Jitsugyo High School. The facility will be opened to the public free of charge in the afternoon of the same day.
The fares are 300 yen for adults, 200 yen for high school students, and 100 yen for elementary and junior high school students.
