２０２０年鹿児島国体が確定

　日本体育協会は１月１２日、２０２０年の国民体育大会（国体）について、鹿児島県での開催を内々定した。過去、内々定が取り消された例はなく、事実上の確定といえる。
　順調にいけば１５年に内定、開催３年前の１７年に正式決定する。大会は９月中旬～１０月中旬。
　国体は１９４６年、主に都道府県単位の持ち回りで始まり、鹿児島県は７２年に太陽国体を開催した。
　内々定を受け、伊藤祐一郎知事は「多彩な魅力を全国に発信する大会となるよう準備を進めていきたい」とコメントした。

Kagoshima to host national sports meeting in 2020
The Japan Amateur Sports Association announced on January 12 that it gave unofficial consent to the holding of the National Athletic Meet (Kokutai) in 2020 in Kagoshima Prefecture. It is a de facto determination since the decision has never been recalled in the past.
If everything goes smoothly, the prefecture will be nominated as a candidate in 2015, and will be given the official offer in 2017, three years before the event. The sports event will take place from mid-September through mid-October.
The national sports meeting began in 1946 based on a policy of prefectural rotation, and Kagoshima Prefecture hosted the event under the name of Taiyo Kokutai in 1972.
Following the announcement, Kagoshima Governor Ito Yuichiro commented that he would like to proceed with the preparations so that various charms (of the prefecture) may be displayed at the event.
