鹿児島市夫婦強殺に死刑求刑
鹿児島市で昨年６月、高齢の夫婦が殺害された事件で、強盗殺人と住居侵入の罪に問われた同市三和町、無職男性被告（７１）の裁判員裁判論告求刑公判が１１月１７日、鹿児島地裁（平島正道裁判長）であった。
検察側は「被告が犯人であるのは明らか。考慮する事情はない」として、死刑を求刑した。裁判員裁判で死刑が求刑されるのは全国で３例目。
求刑に先立ち、書面１人を含む遺族４人が意見陳述。悲痛な胸の内を明かし、「極刑を望む」と訴えた。

The closing arguments by citizen judges in a trial against a 71-year old unemployed man from Sanwa-cho in Kagoshima City, who had been accused of murder-robbery and trespassing in the murder case of an elderly couple last June in Kagoshima City, were held at Kagoshima District Court ( Presiding Judge: Hirashima Masamichi) on November 17.
During the trial, prosecutors sought capital punishment saying “It is evident that the suspect was the criminal. There is no room for consideration.” It had become the third case nationwide that the death penalty was demanded.
Before the prosecution, four survivors, including one in writing, made statements in which they exposed their deep sorrow and demanded the death penalty for the defendant.
