桜島の灰を「ハイ！どうぞ！！」

桜島の灰を「ハイ！どうぞ！！」
垂水市に降った桜島の灰を入れた降灰体感缶詰「ハイ！どうぞ！！」の販売が１０月２７日、同市の道の駅たるみずで始まった。同市などでつくる市観光・地域産業活性化協議会が開発。
缶詰は灰約１００グラム入りで１個１００円。初日用意した１００個は約３時間で完売した。２８日以降は一日２０個限定で販売されている。
販売開始に合わせ道の駅で開いた開発報告会で、水迫順一市長は噴煙を上げる桜島をバックに、「大きな悩みとなっている灰を逆転の発想で活用した。明るいニュースとして市民に喜んでもらえたら」とＰＲした。

Rise from volcanic ash
The sale of cans, which contain Mt. Sakurajima’s volcanic ash fallen in Tarumizu City, “Hai! Douzo!! (Here you are),” started at the city’s roadside station Michi-no-eki Tarumizu on October 27. The product had been developed by Tarumizu City Tourism and Local Industry Revitalisation Council comprised of the city and other entities.
The 100-gram cans of ash are sold at 100 yen. All the 100 cans prepared for the first day sold out in three hours. They are only selling 20 cans each day from the 28th.
At a briefing session of the new product held at Michi-no-eki on the first day of the sale, City Mayor Mizusako Junichi said, with fuming Sakurajima in the background: “We have made good use of the ash which has otherwise been a pain in the neck. I hope this will be encouraging news for the citizens.”
