アジアより熱波再来！
第５回かごしまアジア青少年芸術祭（実行委員会主催）が１０月１６日・１７日の２日間、鹿児島市で行なわれた。
１６日は山下町の宝山ホールで音楽祭が開かれ、小学生～２０代半ばで構成される海外６カ国の８団体計約１２０人が伝統舞踊や民俗楽器の演奏、合唱などを繰り広げた。同市の長田中学校音楽部と明和小学校金管バンドも熱演し、来場した約１３００人を楽しませた。
１７日は山下町の中央公園で、鹿児島の青少年らによるステージや「アジアん屋台」が開かれた。

Asian youths bring back heat wave to Kagoshima
The fifth Kagoshima Asia Youth Arts Festival (hosted by the event’s committee) took place on October 16 and 17 in Kagoshima City.
On the 16th, a music festival was held at Hozan Hall in Yamashita town where a total of some 120 people of eight groups from six countries --comprised of elementary school students to mid-20 year olds—displayed various kinds of performances such as traditional dances, folk instrument playing, and choruses. Nagata Junior High School’s music club and Meiwa Elementary School’s brass band—both from Kagoshima City—also wowed the audience of 1,300 with their powerful performances.
On the 17th, there were stage performances by Kagoshima’s youth at Chuo Park in Yamashita town where various “Asian Booths” were also set up.
