第６代「かごしま親善大使」決まる
第６代「かごしま親善大使」に鞘脇愛美（さやわき まなみ）さん（２０）＝鹿児島市、井上恵梨さん（１８）＝姶良市、川内谷（かわうちや）留美さん（２４）＝鹿児島市＝が決まった。
３人は約１カ月の研修を経て１１月２日のおはら祭前夜祭でデビュー、県内外のイベントで鹿児島をＰＲする。任期は１年。
短期大学生の鞘脇さんは「生まれ育った鹿児島を全国にＰＲしたい」。専門学校生の井上さんは「自分らしさと笑顔を忘れずに頑張る」。会社員の川内谷さんは「鹿児島の大自然と食を強調したい」と抱負を語った。
同大使は市や鹿児島観光コンベンション協会でつくる選出運営委員会が９月５、３０日の選考会で決定した。昨年より５人多い１０８人が応募した。

Kagoshima ambassadors selected
The titles of “Kagoshima ambassadors” have been awarded to Ms. Sayawaki Manami (20) from Kagoshima City, Ms. Inoue Eri (18) from Aira City and Ms. Kawauchiya rumi (24) from Kagoshima City.
The three ladies will go through a month-long training and make their debut on November 2 at a festival to be held on the night before the Ohara Festival. During a yearlong tenure, they will promote Kagoshima in events both inside and outside the prefecture.
Each winner expressed their resolution. Ms. Sayawaki, a junior college student, said “I would like to promote my hometown of Kagoshima throughout the country.” Ms. Inoue, a vocational college student, said “I will try my best in my own style and with smiles.” Ms. Kawauchiya, a company worker, said “I would like to emphasise the great nature and cuisine of Kagoshima.”
The ambassadors were selected by a selection committee made up of Kagoshima City and the Kagoshima Tourism Convention Association among others at a trial held on September 5 and 30. It received 108 applicants--five more than last year.
