長島町が「子ほめ」条例

長島町が「子ほめ」条例
長島町は９月２１日、児童や生徒の優れた個性をほめて伸ばしていく「子ほめ条例」（長島の子表彰に関する条例）を制定した。
同町教委によると、地域ぐるみで子どものよい点を見つけ、ほめて育てるのが狙い。「友情賞」のほか、「奉仕賞」「親切賞」「勤労賞」など計９賞がある。１０月１日施行。
町内の全児童約６４０人は、小学校在籍中に原則１回表彰される。中学生は各種大会で顕著な実績があった場合などに対象となる。学校や地域住民が町教委に推薦する。

Nagashima Town on September 21 instituted a “Child Praise Ordinance” (Ordinance Regarding Commendation of Nagashima’s Kids) which is aimed at encouraging students by recognising their strong personal qualities.
According to the town’s board of education, the measure is intended to raise children by means of the whole community by recognising their good points. There are a total of nine awards such as “Friendship Award,” “Charity Award,” “Kindness Award,” and “Labour Award.” The ordinance will take effect as of October 1.
All the pupils of some 640 in the town will be awarded once in principle while in elementary schools, while junior high school students with distinguished achievements at competitions will be entitled to the prizes. The recipients will be recommended to the school board by the school or by the local residents.
