海底アート展 奄美大島
奄美大島の瀬戸内町嘉鉄沖で第１３回水中展覧会「アクアート イン 奄美大島」が８月２５日まで開催された。大作１０点がつくり出すユニークな海底風景が、来場者を楽しませた。今回初の試みとして、会期後も作品数点は海に残し、訪れたダイバーがサンゴを植え付けたり、自然に付着するの待つ。

Underwater wonder
The 13th Underwater Exhibition, “AQUART in Amami Oshima,” took place in the waters off of Katetsu in Setouchi town on Amami Island until August 25. Visitors were entertained by the unique scene made up of ten pieces of tour de force on the seafloor. For the first time, some artworks were left on the seabed after the exhibition; and some of those objet d’arts will either be given coral-transplants by divers or be left alone for the marine creature to adhere to.
The representative of the exhibition, Mr. Nishimura Koichi (51), said they would like to promote the fusion between nature and art.
