夏到来！鹿児島市で海開き
鹿児島市吉野町の磯海水浴場が７月１０日、海開きした。あいにくの雨の中、錦江湾横断遠泳に８月４日挑む同市の清水小学校水泳同好会の児童約１００人が泳ぎ初めを楽しんだ。
式では市教育委員会の藤田幸雄管理部長が「安心・安全な海水浴場運営に努めるので、マナーを守って利用してほしい」とあいさつした。
２１日は生見（喜入生見町）、西道（桜島藤野町）、レインボービーチ（桜島横山町）の３海水浴場も海開きする。いずれも８月３１日まで。（Source:373news.com 2010 07/10）

It’s summer!
Iso Beach in Yoshino-cho, Kagoshima City opened on July 10. Despite the rain, around 100 pupils of Shimizu Elementary School’s swimming club, who will attempt a swimming marathon across Kinko Bay on August 4, enjoyed the first swimming of the season in the sea.
During a ceremony, the administration manager of the city’s Board of Education, Mr. Fujita Yukio, said they would work for the safety and security of the beach and asked for users to have good manners.
The city’s three other beaches-- Nukumi in Kiire Nukumi-cho, Saido in Sakurajima Fujino-cho, and the Rainbow Beach in Sakurajima Yokoyama-cho—will open on 21 of this month. All beaches will be open until August 31.
