鹿児島市街地に連日ドカ灰
　鹿児島市中心部を６月２日に襲った大量の桜島の降灰を受け、市は３日朝からロードスイーパー（道路清掃車）や散水車５８台を出し、天文館周辺や武岡、伊敷団地などを清掃して回った。
　市街地では、あちこちでホースを手に灰を流す市民の姿が見られ、マスクやタオルを口に当てて歩く人も目立った。市交通局は今年導入した散水電車を走らせた。

A day after a vast amount of ash fall from Mt. Sakurajima hit the centre of Kagoshima City on June 2, Kagoshima City cleaned up around areas which included Tenmonkan, Takeoka, and Ishiki housing complex districts with its 58 road sweepers and sprinkler trucks from the morning.
In the city centre, citizens were hosing down the ash here and there, while many passers were seen walking with their mouths covered by masks or towels. Meanwhile, the city’s traffic bureau dispatched sprinkler trams that it introduced this year.
