県内離島唯一の常設映画館が閉館／奄美市
　奄美市名瀬の中心街にある、県内離島唯一の常設映画館「シネマパニック」（川上富久社長）が５月３０日、閉館した。最終日夜の上映はほぼ満員となり、来場者の拍手がわき起こる中、１０年の歴史にひっそりと幕を下ろした。
川上さんらは今後、週末を中心に、各地のホールなどを活用して移動上映を続ける。
　同館の閉館で、鹿児島市以外の県内の常設映画館は、鹿屋市のリナシティかのやにある「リナシアター」のみになった。

Kagoshima’s last cinema on islands closes
What has been the only permanent movie theatre, “Cinema Panic,” in the heart of Naze, Amami City (President: Mr. Kawakami Tomihisa), which has been the prefecture’s only permanent cinema located in the islands, closed on May 30. The cinema saw an almost full house for the evening showing on the last day, and it brought down the curtain on its ten years of history in the midst of an ovation from the audience, yet in a business as usual manner. Kawakami and his companies will continue screenings at regional halls mainly on weekends.
The closure of the theatre has left only one permanent cinema in the prefecture operated outside Kagoshima City, “Rina Theatre,” in a commercial facility in Rina City, Kanoya.

鹿児島市の中心街・天文館のアーケード街から映画館がなくなって久しいですが、４月末に三越跡にオープンしたマルヤガーデンズにミニシアターが入居しています。ビアガーデンにもなる屋上ガーデンも素晴らしいですが、桜島の降灰が心配ですね。。。
