明桜館高校で新制服ファッションショー
鹿児島市の鹿児島西・甲陵高校を統廃合し新設された県立明桜館高校で８月４日、体験入学があり、県内から中学３年生約３５０人が参加した。学校紹介のほか、制服選定の参考にするファッションショーがあり、甲陵高生１６人がモデルになって夏・冬・中間服計４０点を披露した。学校は中学生による投票の結果も考慮し、８月下旬に新制服を決定する。

Dressed up for opening day
Kagoshima Prefectural Meiōkan High school, which was established through the consolidation of Kagoshima Nishi and Koryō High schools in Kagoshima City, hosted an event for its prospective students on August 4 attracting around 350 third graders from junior high schools throughout the prefecture. Along with the introduction of the new school, there was a fashion show as part of the selection process for its new school uniform in which a total of 40 different designs of uniform comprising those for summer, winter and spring/autumn were unveiled and worn by 16 high school students from Koryō High school as models. The school will decide the new uniforms in late August after also taking into account voting results by the junior high school students.

In ~ unveiled：（ファッションショーでは）夏・冬・春／秋用のデザイン計４０点が披露された。「中間服」にあたる直接の英訳はないので、「春／秋」という訳をしています。Comprising(原形：comprise) は「・・・から成る、・・・を含む（including」。Unveilは「（秘密になっていたもの）を明らかにする、公にする（uncover, reveal）」。
Worn by …：・・・が着用して。Wornはwear（・・・を身につけている、着ている）の過去分詞形。


The school will decide the new uniforms in late August after also taking into account voting results by the junior high school students.

The … August：その学校（明桜館高校のこと）は８月下旬に新しい制服を決定する　　　after … students：中学生による投票結果も考慮に入れて。Take into account … は「・・・を考慮する」。Alsoを入れることで「・・・も（考慮に入れる）」というニュアンスを出しています。

Dressed upは「めかしこんで、着飾って、おしゃれして」。
Dressedを使った慣用句では “dressed to the nines[teeth, knocker]”「申し分なくスマートに着こなしている、着飾っている、盛装している」や “dressed to kill[death]” 「（異性の気を引くために）派手な服装をする」といった表現があります。

吉俣良氏作曲による校歌といい、新しい制服といい、新設校としての“ワクワク感”が伝わってくるようです。
