鹿児島市荒田地区の飲食店や鹿児島大学の学生らが８月２２日、ＪＲ鹿児島中央駅前のアミュ広場で同地区の魅力をアピールするイベントを行う。料理や菓子などの露店を開く予定で、食べ物や音楽を楽しめるヨーロッパの市場をイメージしている。主催者は「荒田の活気を伝えたい」と意気込んでいる。

Restaurants in Kagoshima City’s Arata District and students at Kagoshima University will jointly hold an event aiming to promote the attractions of the district in the AMU square in front of JR Kagoshima Station. They are planning to open street stalls that sell cuisine and confectionaries by modelling marketplaces in European countries where people can enjoy food and music. The organisers of the event are enthusiastic saying they’d like to convey the vibrancy of Arata district to visitors.
