宇宿商店街で「中学生商人選手権」
鹿児島市の宇宿商店街振興組合は８月１日、市内の中学生を対象とした「中学生商人（あきんど）選手権」を脇田公園で開く。商売の楽しさを体験させ、地域の将来を担う人材を育てるのが狙い。同組合の河井達志理事長は「中学生のアイデアが楽しみ。ゲーム感覚で、汗を流して働く感覚を知ってほしい」と話している。

Usuki shopping district to hold junior trader contest
The Usuki Shopping District Promotion Association of Kagoshima City will host an event called “Junior High School Students Trader Championship” at Wakita Park on August 1 that targets junior high school students in the city. The aim of the event is to help foster future regional leaders by having youngsters experience the pleasure of business. Mr. Kawai Tatsushi, chairperson of the association, said he’s looking forward to seeing the students’ unique ideas and he hopes that they can enjoy learning what it would be like to work up a sweat through this event.
