９・１１にＨ２Ｂ打ち上げ
宇宙航空研究開発機構と三菱重工業は７月８日、国際宇宙ステーション（ＩＳＳ）に物資を運ぶ無人補給機「ＨＴＶ」を搭載した新型ロケット「Ｈ２Ｂ」を、９月１１日午前２時４分ごろ、種子島宇宙センター（南種子町）から打ち上げると発表した。Ｈ２Ｂ、ＨＴＶとも初の打ち上げで、予備期間は１２日から３０日まで。今回は、地球のオゾンを観測する機械や米航空宇宙局の地球観測機器を搭載する。

H2B rocket to be launched on 9/11
The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. announced on July 8 that they will launch the newly developed H2B rocket carrying the unmanned cargo supply vehicle HTV, which transports supplies to the International Space Station (ISS), at around 2:04 am on September 11 from Tanegashima Space Centre in Minamitane-cho. It will be the first launch for both H2B and HTV, and the 12th through the 30th of the same month has been set aside as a preparatory period. This time, the rocket will also carry a machine to monitor ozone in the earth as well as the US Space Agency’s earth observation equipment.
