鹿児島市天文館地区のタカプラ周辺再開発計画に取り組む全１７地権者が６月１４日、「千日町１・４番街区再開発協議会」を設立した。商業、飲食施設を中心に宿泊、コンベンション、サービス機能などを備えた複合施設の開発構想を具現化していく。施設の規模について、役員は「鹿児島市内で一番高いビルが理想」などと述べた。

Tenmonkan redevelopment plan comes into play
A group of 17 landowners and landholders, who are involved in the redevelopment project of the area around the Takapla commercial building in Kagoshima City's Tenmonkan district, set up a committee, on June 14, on the redevelopment plan of the No. 1 and No. 4 districts of Sennichi-cho. They will hold discussions on how to give substance to their envisioned commercial complex that offers a hotel, conference rooms, and service functions, along with the main features of a shopping mall and restaurants. When asked about the scale of the facility, one board member said that it is ideal that the building be the highest in Kagoshima City.
