３月に閉館した「観光と特産品の情報ステーション」と「織姫館」の機能を集約したサービスステーション「天まちサロン」が６月１日、鹿児島市東千石町にオープンした。
観光案内やベビーカーの無料レンタルなどのサービスに加え、大島紬など特産品やよりみちクルーズなどのチケットを販売する。海外からの観光客向けに英語、フランス語、スペイン語、韓国語にも対応する。営業時間は午前１０時から午後７時まで。
同日、現地であったセレモニーで、森博幸市長は「情報発信の拠点になることを期待している」と話した。

New information centre opens
A tourist information centre, "Tenmachi Salon," which had consolidated the functions of "Information Station for Tourism and Local Products" and "Orihime-kan" that closed in March, opened in Higashisengoku-cho, Kagoshima City on June 1.
In addition to providing tourist information and free rental baby carriages, they will sell special local products such as Oshima pongee and tickets for a cruise in Kagoshima Bay. English, French, Spanish and Korean are also available for foreign tourists. It will open from 10 am to 7 pm.
During the ceremony held on the same day, Kagoshima City mayor Mori Hiroyuki said he expected (the centre) would be the hub for transmitting information (on Kagoshima).
